Some of us traveled down to sunny southern California for the festivities overlooking the beaches of Malibu and performance throughout Ventura county.  A good time was had by all, and many were had, themselves.

Thursday May 1, 2008,  5:30a - May Day morning, Baylands Nature Preserve

Come help us dance up the Sun in Palo Alto on MayDay morning (we do it every year, and it always works - good thing, too!) and celebrate.  It's not so much that we believe the sun won't come up on Mayday without some dancing, it's just that if we didn't dance, and the sun didn't come up, we'd feel really bad.

If you haven't been out to see the sunrise celebration, give it a try.  It's very beautiful, and while the sleepiness lasts only as long as it takes you to get there, the happy glow lasts all day!

Celebrate May Day, Revels style at the Oakland zoo.  Of course, we'll be dancing but there's lots more to see and do as well.  Check out this Revels newsletter for details

Sunday, May 4, 2008, 1:00p - Revels May Day celebration at the Pelican Inn.

Join us at a favorite Deer Creek haunt, the Pelican Inn (a bit of ole Blighty in the Bay Area) for good food, good drink, good dance, and good Revels fun (check the newsletter for May 3).  Good gracious!

Ok, technically not a performance (although we will be trying to behave well to impress new potential recruits).  This is a great opportunity to see if morris dancing is for you.  Come out and join us.

Saturday, May 10, 2008, 1:00p - Stanford Bridge Faire, White Plaza, Stanford Campus

Stanford's traditional spring faire is our favorite faire, dancing with lots of other teams from all over the Bay Area.  You'll find us over at the bookstore (near 459 Lagunita Dr., Stanford, CA 94305)

Sunday, May 11, 2008, 1:00p and 2:45p - Ardenwood Historic Farm, Fremont

The Ardenwood Farm is at 34600 Ardenwood Bl.  We'll be joining hosts Goat Hill Morris for this special Mother's Day celebration.  Bring out your mom - show her you love her.  Give the gift of morris dancing.  And afterwards you'll likely finding us toasting Mom at the Englander pub.

Saturday, May 17, 2008, Noon - 4p, Black and White Tour, starting at the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

It's out of our colors and into our black n' whites for the tour of the same name.  We join morris dancers from teams all around the Bay Area as we do an entire day to gather and dance out in a "mix and match" fashion from these other teams.  In lieu of kit (costume), we dress in black and white only, but still get pretty creative with ribbons, hats, vests, (not to mention them with skirts, striped tights and corsets).  The colors have been removed to protect the innocent and provide plausible deniability for everyone else.  There will be a pub stop afterwards at Eldo's, near 9th and Irving.

Saturday, May 31, 2008, Berkeley and Marin

11a - 2p, Chocolate and Chalk Festival, - You'll find us in front of Black Oak Books, 1491 Shattuck Avenue most likely with local kids from the BAM Morris Magnets.

3p - 3:20p, Coleman School International Dance Festival, San Rafael - We're proud to be part of Coleman Elementary School's annual festival for kids.  The school is at 800 Belle Ave, near Rafael Drive and Dominican University.

Around 3:30p we'll likely follow this with a more adult activity - a pub stop at the Marin Brewing Company in Larkspur Landing.  Come stand us a round and you'll get good luck!

Saturday, June 22, 2008,  Summer Solstice celebrations

11:30a, Grace Cathedral, San Francisco - We'll be dancing in the cathedral courtyard after the late morning service.

5p - 9p, Revels Summer Solstice Gala, at the Oakland Zoo - Join us at the Snow Building.  We'll be dancing, but there will be lots more Revels fun, too!  Feast on a fantastic picnic supper, enjoy the entertainment and bid in the silent auction for cool stuff.  Check out this Revels newsletter for details.

Saturday, July 19, 2008, Wine Country Tour

We join our northern neighbors Apple Tree Morris and Bay Area favorite Swords of Gridlock, for a tour of  favorite North Bay spots throughout the afternoon, along with finishing up at the Windsor Shakespeare festival that night.  We'll also dance just before the evening show, which is appropriately As You Like It (we know we do!)

12:45p - 2:00p, Deloach Vineyards, 1791 Olivet Road, Santa Rosa

2:15p - 3:30p, Kendall-Jackson Winery, 5007 Fulton Road, Fulton

3:45p - 5:45p, Central Healdsburg Plaza (Corner Healdsburg Avenue and Matheson Street), with a pub stop at the Bear Republic Brewery afterwards.

6:30p - 7:00p, Windsor Town Green, Shakespeare Festival

Saturday, November 8, 2008, El Sobrante Harvest Faire

We'll be performing as part of the faire at the East Bay Waldorf School, 3800 Clark Road, in El Sobrante.  Look for us at 3:30p  somewhere between the Pony Rides/Cake Walk and the Ticket Sales.  Contact the school for more details.
