Irish Trot

Lead up a double forward and back, Set and turn single. Lead down a double and back, Set and turn single. The first man take his woman with his right, then his left and so holding hands a cross change places, falling back from each other, meet again, fall back, then arms with your woman and stay in your places the man on the womans side. Hands in like manner with the second woman changing places with her on the right hand, while the woman doth the like with the second man holding him in her left hand. Both couple fall back from each other, meet again, fall back, arm with your own and so forward to the rest, who following do the like.

Take your own woman in your right hand and the second woman in your left. Meet the second man, fall back, each man honor his own woman, then each others woman, take them by the right hands, then your own by the left. The first couple into the second place and the second into the first. The rest following.

Lead up a double forward and back, cast off all and meet, the first couple below and the last couple above. Take your women in your left hand and lead them all to the left round about to the same places. Lead all down a double and back, cast off and meet in your own places, as a the first. Take your women in your right hands and lead them round about to the right hand, to your places.
