Sellenger's Round (1670)
A circle of couples facing into the center - as many as will

(These dance notes are in the historical or notational style used for English Country Dances, for those familiar with it.  If you've never done English Country Dance before, don't panic.  We'll teach it and translate all this into something understandable.  Remember - it's always easier to watch and copy, than to write this stuff down.)

This is the version of Sellenger's Round as taught on May Day on the Palo Alto Baylands.  The music runs thru 5 times, and Part V is basically a reprise of Part I.  For each part "A" is a "figure" and "B" is the chorus, which is done 2 times.

Here's a good audio sample in mp3 format, and a not as good one (but which downloads much faster) in midi format.
